BIMM Music Institute London alumni, Marina Diamandis, better known as the creative force behind Marina And The Diamonds, has had a long and fruitful career in the music industry. After the release of the self-produced debut EP, ‘Mermaid vs Sailor’ via Myspace back in 2007, Marina caught the attention of Neon Gold Records who she then signed with.
From here, Marina went from success to success. Her debut studio album, The Family Jewels, debuted at number five on the UK Album Charts, with first-week sales hitting an astonishing 27,618 copies. The album was eventually certified gold by the BPI. After catching the attention of Kayne West and Perez Hilton, Marina played a successful festival run, including Glastonbury, BBC 1’s Big Weekend, and Reading and Leeds festival. She’s also toured with Katy Perry on her California Dreams Tour and Coldplay on their Mylo Xyloto Tour.
Her success continued with the release of albums Electra Heart (2012), Froot (2015), and Love + Fear (2019)
We are super excited for Marina’s eagerly anticipated fifth studio album ‘Ancient Dreams In A Modern Land’ set to be released this June.
