Dr. Paul Rogers is a composer, producer, music educator & sound artist. His research interests include noise pollution as compositional material, junk instrument design and acoustic ecology. Paul is a highly experienced university lecturer having taught on creative sound, electronic composition and songwriting courses since 2001. Paul holds a PhD in Sound Composition and was previously awarded a Masters in Studio Composition from Goldsmiths University of London.
Paul’s extensive work as a composer and sound designer for visual art forms has produced national and internationally touring soundtracks for theatre, film and dance. Paul’s work has been screened and performed across the world from The Southbank Centre in London to arts festivals across Europe and film festivals in Canada, Australia and the US.
Paul has also performed regularly on guitar, electronics and junk instruments in a range of bands at concert venues, festivals and gigs. He is a published composer and songwriter on CD, vinyl and digital including releases on Beta-lactam Ring Records (USA), Alrealon Musique (France) ASC Records (UK), Slam Productions (UK), Via Injection (USA), Mecapop Records (France) & Desolate Market Records (UK).
