Alternative pop artist Mayson graduated from BIMM London in 2020, and his catchy pop melodies, mixed with alt-pop instrumentals have already caught the attention of the likes of School Ground Sounds and BBC Music Introducing.
Since completing his Professional Musicianship course, Mayson has released singles ‘Confessions’ and ‘Just Won’t Call’ – the latter receiving praise from BBC Introducing’s Abbie McCarthy, who played it on her show spotlighting unsigned artists. Both singles convey Mayson’s authentically unique pop sound – with dark, alternative influences.
While he may be a strong vocalist, Mayson’s passion for songwriting shines through. His metaphorical lyrics lay bare his personal journey of becoming a young adult – and invite listeners in for the ride.
Later in 2020, Mayson is expected to release two more tracks – within the pop realm, however with very different sounds; highlighting his diverse range. His debut EP is due for release early 2021.
