How To Become A Northern Powerhouse: Pursuing A Career In The Music Industry

21st Mar '20

Get an exciting insight into the lives of music industry professionals and how our Music Business, Event Management and brand-new Music Marketing, Media and Communication (MMMC) courses could help take you there.

Hosted by Dr Jennifer Otter-Bickerdike, the day will start at 15:00 with a music industry panel featuring Aniff Akinola (Universal Music Publishing Group), Beth Parnell (Bandwagon Press) and our MMMC Course Leader John McCready. You’ll have the chance to grab some refreshments and mingle with our student ambassadors.

Our event will finish off with an in-conversation with Will Sergeant, one of the founding members of the iconic Echo and the Bunnymen, Mercury Prize Ivor Novello nominated Jeremy Pritchard (Everything Everything) and indie darlings and Iggy Pop-endorsed PINS. Chat with the artists after the panel about their experiences and careers as music industry professionals.

Members of our Student Support, Admissions and Finance teams will also be on hand to answer any questions, give you a tour of our college and ensure you’re fully informed and have all your inquiries answered. We can’t wait to see you soon!
