BIMM at Fête de la Musique in Berlin

Fête de la Musique is a festival that began life in Paris back in 1982 as a celebration of public music and has since spread to cities around the world. Berlin has held its own Fête de la Musique celebrations since 1995 and this year BIMM will play a part in the annual event.

On Sunday 21 June, the Noisy Musicworld venue in Berlin’s bohemian Friedrichshain neighbourhood will host a day of Fête de la Musique performances, events, food and competitions, co-hosted by BIMM Berlin and Music Pool Berlin.

On the music bill are singer-songwriter Lu’Ami and Brighton band The DuBarrys, both BIMM artists, who will be performing live sets amidst a host of other local and international artists.

A team of representatives from BIMM Berlin will be on hand at Noisy Musicworld with a stall, a fun photo booth and merch stand. They will be happily chatting with attendees and audiences about BIMM Berlin, as well as hosting a range of competitions, games and a BBQ too!

There are some very special prizes up for grabs for those in attendance, including a snare drum signed by both Mike and Ian, or a free professional recording session at Mix Berlin to record a song of the winner’s choosing. The line-up for the day-long event continues to expand so be sure to keep checking the event page for updates.

Also taking place in Berlin is the BIMM JustMusic showcase on Friday 19 June. Mike Joyce and Ian Matthews are special guests at the Kreuzberg Q&A event, which also includes a photography exhibition by former Kerrang! Magazine Editor Ashley Bird. Looks like Berlin is the place to be!
