We’re very pleased to announce the official release of our highly anticipated BIMM Bristol Album 2016, which is out now!
The BIMM Album Bristol 2016 features ten original tracks from our talented BIMM students, as selected by an independent panel of industry experts. The album’s release follows months of hard work and we couldn’t be more proud of the final outcome. This year’s competition was possibly our most fierce yet, with so many fantastic tracks.
Every demo we received was worthy of making it onto the record and our tutors had a real task when selecting the 25 best tracks to send onto our independent panel. After much deliberation, the panel narrowed the album down to ten final tracks. Work began almost immediately after, with a professional team of producers joining our students to record the album.
The sessions took place at BIMM’s state-of-the-art studios and other recording houses around the city, all under the watchful eye of our dedicated A&R team.
The record is a diverse and eclectic mix, fusing elements of dub, rock, folk, pop and indie. It’s an outstanding showcase of work from BIMM Bristol’s many promising musicians.
Congratulations to all of our students who made the final cut, this really is an achievement to be proud of.
A huge thanks to everyone who submitted a demo track for the album, the final decision was very difficult to make with so many brilliant tracks.
We’d also like to give a special thank you to everyone who was involved in the album, including all of our BIMM Bristol staff, our A&R and production team and our independent panel of judges, Mark Bowers, Cliff Jones, Andy Cook (Creative Arts Agency), Tom Riley (OWSLA), Mark Underdone, Shawn Joseph (Optimum Studios), Tim Allen (J&J Studios), Jim Barr (J&J Studios), James Hester, Rob Short, Jo Hadler and Moritz Borchers.
The album is available now to download on Soundcloud.
