BIMM Dublin Open Days: What to Expect

OPEN DAYS

Our open days offer you a taste of what life at BIMM Dublin is really like before you start studying here. This includes everything from live performances to one-to-one Q&A sessions with members of our Education Team.

Here’s what you can expect from the day:

Live performances from our students
We are very proud of the talent that we produce at BIMM and so we always kick off our open days with a live performance from one of our student bands.

Who do I get to talk to?
A number of team members from BIMM will be on hand to guide you through the day and answer your questions. Our open day teams usually consist of the, BIMM Heads of Department, Tutors and our Admissions Team. We also have current students on hand, who have been through the application process and can offer their own advice.

Presentation
During the event we give a presentation on all of the key facts about BIMM. This covers all aspects of the BIMM group including our educational model, the courses on offer, tutors, alumni, success stories, student services, as well as the city and music culture of Dublin.

Bespoke Q&A session
After the presentation you will have the opportunity to speak to members of the BIMM team. You can ask about anything from course information to student accommodation, fees and the application process. At our Parental Advisory Centre parents can take a break with a tea or coffee and chat to a parent of one of our graduates.

Facilities
You’ll get to take a look around our amazing facilities at Francis Street and The Coombe, to see where you’ll be studying for the next 4 years. You can also read a little bit more about our Facilities at BIMM Dublin here.

Live Performance Workshops
Guests will be able to workshop a track with our full house band and learn how to create a professional performance. All are welcome to jump in and perform. Please feel free to bring along your own guitar, bass or drumsticks, although we will have instruments you can play on the day!

Can I bring a friend or family member with me?
Yes, you are welcome to bring a friend or family member with you. When you are making your online booking, please make sure to let us know the number of guests coming with you.

Is there disabled access at the campus?
Our campuses are accessible for guests with mobility issues. Should you wish to disclose any supports you might need on the day, please contact [email protected] before the event.

We understand the importance of providing sufficient access and services for students and visitors with a disability. You can read our full disability guides for each campus here.

I haven’t applied for a course yet. Can I still attend an open day?

Of course! You’d don’t have to have officially applied for one of our courses in order to attend an open day. But, please bear in mind that certain application deadlines apply if you’re looking to begin studying with us in the next academic year.

If you are unsure which course is the right option for you, our team can offer advice on all BIMM Institute Dublin courses.

When should I arrive at the campus?
You’ll have received information about the open day start time via email. You should aim to arrive at campus reception at least ten minutes before the event is due to begin. This will allow us to register your attendance and show you to the correct room to get settled in time for our welcome presentation.

The Open Day runs for 3 hours starting with performances from some of our current students and a presentation.

We hold regular open days to give you a taste of BIMM Dublin life. To find out how you can join us at our next Open Day click here.
