Forget this dreary weather, festival season is nearly upon us! Don your wellies and pack your ear plugs because this year BIMM will be in a field near you!
By continuing to grow our industry connectivity and relationships, BIMM students and artists will be performing and working at exciting independent festivals like 2000Trees, ArcTanGent, Love Supreme – with many more to be announced.
BIMM will be increasing its presence at many UK festivals throughout the summer; we feel the opportunities that arise from festival relationships are invaluable to our students. Our Event Management and Live Sound students benefit greatly from putting into practise what they have been learning on their courses. BIMM musicians and artists have the opportunity to play at all of these festivals, which could be incorporated into their release campaigns and general promotional activity. It’s great exposure for students and a fantastic chance to build their fan base.
Student involvement at these types of events is a great way to meet like-minded music people, gain real-life experience, build contacts, start relationships and most importantly a great addition to a CV. The music business is a relationship industry and getting out there and getting involved is a great way to build your network. As an added bonus, these activities promote collaboration amongst students across each BIMM centre.
