For the third year running, BIMM artists will head to the magical Cotswold Hills for the 3-day musical adventure that is 2000trees Festival. Returning to our home-from-home at The Forest Sessions stage. BIMM will host a stack of homegrown talent over a long and hopefully sunny weekend!
2000trees is becoming a must on the summer calendar, boasting over 80 new and underground artists a year. Previous acts include Frank Turner, Twin Atlantic, Frightened Rabbit, Blood Red Shoes, Band of Skulls, The Bronx, Wolf Alice, Public Service Broadcasting, 65daysofstatic, Lower Than Atlantis, And So I Watch You From Afar, Future of the Left, Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip and Hundred Reasons.
Most of the BIMM campuses will be represented at the festival by a line-up of 22 artists: Barron, Circe’s Diner, Michael Vickers, Thoughts, Frankie Furlow, Storme, Tierny, Chloe Leigh and The Willow Trio, Charlotte Cannon, Jack Williams, Tom Forbes, Olly Flavell, Chay Snowdon, Maddy Storm, Montag Mania, Aaron Rowe, Joe Dolman, Charlie Thomas, Mindofalion, Martha Phillips, EPISODES and Paper Hawk.
From 7 to 9 July BIMM students will not only perform stripped-back and acoustic versions of their work but up to 30 additional students will play crucial technical and admin roles to produce and stage the performances in The Forest Sessions zone.
If you can tear yourself away from the Forest Sessions, you might also catch comedy, silent discos, great food and top-notch headliners – all run with a green, sustainable ethos. No surprise that 2000trees won the Grass Roots Festival Award at the UK Festival Awards in 2010.
Alex from Barron told us about the band’s excitement for their 2000trees appearance:
With 22 talented BIMM performers on their way, we have to agree…!
