Bob James Scores Number 1 Spot With Kelvin Jones

BIMM Brighton Music Business tutor Bob James recently oversaw a great success with an artist signed to his management agency, InTune Addicts; when singer/songwriter Kelvin Jones hit the number one spot on German radio with his single ‘Only Thing We Know’ for two weeks running.

The news comes in the wake of impressive download, sales and streaming figures for his previous single ‘Call You Home’, which was recently certified gold.

Bob and his team at InTune Addicts have managed Kelvin’s music career for the past three years, after discovering the demo video of  ‘Call You Home’ going viral on the front page of Reddit. The video was subsequently aired on U.S TV and InTune Addicts got in touch via Kelvin’s social media channels to secure him as a new addition to their client roster.  

“We are so pleased that the hard work and perseverance is finally paying off for Kelvin.” Said Bob on this recent victory.

“It is a global market and we have always believed that you should not restrict yourself to just one territory, or to be just UK focussed. This was fundamental to us in our strategy to ensure that Germany was also a “home” market when we negotiated his deal with Sony.”

The news serves to underscore the fact that BIMM lecturers aren’t just educators. The majority of them are still very much active in their respective fields, meaning they can pass on their up-to-the-minute industry knowledge directly onto our students.
