Expanding Course Opportunities at BIMM Dublin

Here at BIMM Dublin we’re excited to announce two brand new courses for aspiring producers and music industry professionals. With the launch of our Diploma in Music and Audio Production and Diploma in Music Business we are further expanding the range of courses and opportunities available in Irish music education.

The Diploma in Music and Audio Production is a part-time course that will serve as a fundamental introduction to Music and Audio Production, providing students with the core knowledge, technical and creative skills required for a range of creative industries including music production, audio engineering, audio for games, broadcast, post-production, corporate audio, pro-audio sales and audio system installation.

In addition to the course we are also delighted to announce the BIMM Institute Dublin/2FM Diploma in Music & Audio Production Scholarship which will offer one student the opportunity to study on the year long Diploma course free of charge. Prospective students can apply for the scholarship by contacting info@bimm.ie.

Director of Music for 2fm Alan Swan said, “At 2FM, we have always been a big supporter of Irish talent and emerging Irish talent so offering a scholarship like this is incredibly important for what 2fm stands for, considering the amount of BIMM artists past & present that 2fm airplays or works with in the industry.  It seems like a natural progression to help nurture & support the Irish industry music talent of the future with this scholarship. It’s a privilege that we launch it today with BIMM.”

BIMM Dublin College Principal, Alan Cullivan  said, “Here at BIMM we are over the moon to be working with Ireland’s biggest radio station for new music. In a way it seems as though we have always  had an unofficial  partnership with 2FM considering the amount of BIMM bands the station plays. 2FM give such amazing support to new Irish artists so it’s a very easy relationship to have and we are extremely excited here in BIMM for us to be finally and officially working together.”

The Diploma in Music Business is also a part-time course and is designed to offer students a practical skillset precisely designed with future employment in mind including Music Promotion and Marketing, Artist Management, Tour Management, Physical and Digital Music Distribution, e-commerce in the Music Industry, Music Publishing and Recording, Live Music Events and Touring.
