We know that applying for a course can be stressful… and it isn’t always as easy as it should be. So here at BIMM, we’ve streamlined our processes and have put together a helpful guide outlining how to apply for a BIMM course – the easy way. Follow these 10 simple steps and before you know it, you’ll be joining us in September!
STEP 1: DO YOUR RESEARCH
First things first, find out all you can about BIMM Group and your preferred BIMM college. Check out our website and social media channels, and order a copy of our prospectus.
STEP 2: CALL OUR ADMISSIONS TEAM
If you have any specific questions about a course you’re interested in, give a friendly member of our Admissions Team a call on 0844 2 646 666. They can answer any queries you might have about our colleges, courses or even the application process itself.
STEP 3: ATTEND AN OPEN DAY
If you didn’t call our Admissions Team in Step 2, then definitely call them now to book a place on one of our Open Days. Phone them on 0844 2 646 666, email them at firstname.lastname@example.org or even book online, and you can experience for yourself what life as a BIMM student is really like.
STEP 4: APPLY
You can get the application ball rolling by applying for your preferred course on our website. It’s not a formal application but it’s an important part of the process in getting onto a BIMM course.
STEP 5: ATTEND AN AUDITION/INTERVIEW
If you’re a Performance or Songwriting course hopeful, you’ll need to have an audition as part of your application process. If applying for one of our Join Honours courses, you may need to have an additional interview.
And if you’re applying for a non-performance course, you’ll also be required to attend on of these. Call our Admissions Team on 0844 2 646 666 or email us at email@example.com to book yours in.
Once confirmed, we’ll send you some guidelines which outline what to expect from your audition or interview.
STEP 6: SEND US YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We recommend that you provide us with your qualifications as soon as possible so we can review them quickly. If you don’t have photos of your certificates to hand, you can always ask your old school or college to send us an official confirmation email of your grades.
STEP 7: SUBMIT YOUR UCAS APPLICATION
Remember that you must submit your UCAS application by 6pm on 15th January for it to receive ‘guaranteed consideration’ in this round of submissions.
STEP 8: SEND US YOUR REFERENCES & PERSONAL STATEMENT
Your references and personal statement can be sent across to us separately to your UCAS application, but it’s best to submit everything together, as soon as possible, if you can. For help writing your personal statement, check out our handy online guide.
STEP 9: UCAS FEEDBACK
Once you’ve applied to BIMM via UCAS, (and attended an audition/interview at BIMM) you’ll either be recommended for the course you have applied for or offered an alternative.
STEP 10: UNCONDITIONAL OFFER
If you’re recommended for a BIMM course and you meet the academic requirements, you’ll be offered an unconditional place – congratulations! You’re in! Now the real fun begins!
