The next Music Week Industry Showcase, RADAR (sponsored by BIMM Group), will take place on Thursday 5th June. Hosted once again at Under the Bridge in London, the night will showcase some of Britain’s best unsigned and just-signed young musical talent. It kicks off at 8pm and artists will perform to an influential music industry crowd.
Acts on the night include Longfellow, Tigger Da Author, Mike Hough, Raphaella, Jamie Joseph, and BIMM London ‘Breaking’ band, Circumnavigate, who are representing the BIMM Group this month.
Hailing from Oslo in Norway, Circumnavigate are a five-piece band comprising of an ensemble of multi-instrumentalists whose five-piece harmonies float delicately amidst their warm string sections and trumpet lines. The band’s debut release, the film score-esque Stranger EP, lead to them clinching an album deal and securing numerous Hollywood contracts, including the signing of a three-song deal with major Hollywood sync company, Cutting Edge, responsible for such soundtracks as Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Gladiator. They’ve also successfully acquired the majority of the soundtrack to 2015 movie ‘The Swimmer‘, starring The OC’s Ben McKenzie.
‘BIMM Breaking’ is an exclusive opportunity for BIMM Group’s industry-ready students and alumni to perform. Future RADAR events will see new talent from BIMM London, BIMM Bristol, BIMM Brighton and BIMM Manchester perform in front of a diverse industry crowd.
This partnership initiative between Music Week and BIMM – two of the most distinguished names in the music industry – cements BIMM as the most connected music college in the UK and one which is dedicated to providing its students with the opportunities necessary to fulfill their career goals.
