How to Apply

Here at BIMM, we’re very proud to welcome students from all over the world. It’s what makes our creative atmosphere unique.

We currently have over 750 international students from 60 different countries. Our doors are always open, wherever you’re from and whatever your background.

If you are currently studying your final year at school/college, you can begin your application process with BIMM Institute prior to completing your current qualification.

You can apply for all of our fulltime courses. Follow these easy steps or complete our online Application Enquiry form.

 

Step 1: Apply

Diploma
Apply directly with us by completing our online Application Enquiry form.

Undergraduate courses
You can apply to join us by heading to www.ucas.com

Postgraduate courses
Apply directly with us by completing our online Application Enquiry form.

 

Step 2: Auditions and Interviews

Once we’ve received your enquiry, we’ll invite you to complete an audition or interview.

Diploma
A member of our Admissions Team will contact you directly to organise a date and time for your audition or interview.

Undergraduate courses
A date and time will be sent to you via UCAS and email. You’ll then need to confirm this date on UCAS.

Postgraduate courses
A member of our Admissions Team will contact you directly to organise a date and time for your audition or interview.

 

Step 3: Remote Auditions

We understand that you might not be in the country for your audition. That’s why we offer flexible remote
auditions or alternatives. Simply find your course below and contact us if you have any more questions.

For Performance Courses (Guitar, Bass, Drums, Vocals and Keyboards)
If you’re not able to visit us for an audition, we’ll send you demo guidelines and an application form.

For Music Production and Songwriting Courses
If you’re not able to visit us for an interview, you’ll need to submit a digital portfolio. You’ll also need to book a phone interview with us.

For Music Business, Event Management and Music Marketing, Media and Communication Courses
If you’re not able to visit us for an interview, you’ll receive an application form where you’ll need to complete a personal statement. Following this, the Admissions Team will get in touch with you to arrange a phone or Skype interview.

For Joint Honours Courses

If you’re not able to visit us in person, you’ll receive thorough guidance from our Admissions Team on alternative methods, once you’ve been in touch.

 

Step 4: Contract Confirmation

After your audition or audition alternative, you’ll be debriefed by a member of the Admissions Team
and told whether or not we’ll be offering you a place.

Diploma
You’ll be sent a contract and offer letter via email, which needs to be confirmed within 28 days of the dated contract.

Undergraduate courses
You’ll be offered a place via UCAS, which needs to be accepted before the UCAS deadline.

Postgraduate courses
You’ll be sent a contract and offer letter via email, which needs to be confirmed within 28 days of the dated contract.

 

Step 5: Information Pack

Once your place is confirmed, our Admissions Team will send you an information pack along with details on becoming a new International Student at Europe’s leading and most prestigious music college.
