Erika Thomas

Music Journalism and Business Lecturer

Erika is an award-winning PR who has over 15 years industry experience working with global music and lifestyle clients, such as Converse, 100 Club, TDK, Moogfest, the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, Brighton Pride, and a wealth of artists including Mark Ronson, LCD Soundsystem and Gorillaz. Having started out at major record labels Virgin and EMI, Erika went on to work at leading independent PR and marketing agencies including New York based Cornerstone/ The FADER before setting up her own company, Watermelon Agency in 2013.

In addition to her PR work, Erika ran successful London club nights ‘Easy Lover’ and ‘Love to Love’ and regularly contributed music content and interviews to Velour Magazine. Erika also acts as a career coach and mentor for people within or looking to enter the music, media and entertainment industry.
