Jake Shillingford, founder of the 90s cult orchestral Britpop band My Life Story, released three successful albums and had six top forty singles. After a stint replacing Terry Hall in a late incarnation of The Specials, Jake began co-promoting bands in a London club called The Panic Station, booking early shows for The Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and My Bloody Valentine.

He has collaborated musically with with PJ Proby, Marc Almond, Morrissey, The Wonderstuff and even headlined over Oasis. Described as one of the first DIY entrepreneurs , Jake started his own label in 2002 funded exclusively by investors, benefactors and fans – a forerunner to the now ubiquitous crowd funding model.

His award winning music production company Chøppersaurus has composed for countless TV shows, adverts and trailers. They recently scored the US slasher/horror movie Bloodfest 2018.
