Simon Carter


Simon is a graduate of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, and has a degree in Music from Kingston University and a postgraduate diploma in Jazz from the Guildhall College of Music. He’s a musical director and keyboard player of international renown, and has travelled the world touring with artists such as Jamiroquai, Craig David, Leo Sayer and Nik Kershaw.

His vast experience has also included working in West End theatre where he was the associate musical director for shows such as Rent, Smokey Joe’s Café and Five Guys Named Moe. As a freelance session musician, Simon has played with a huge variety of artists, including Anastasia, Deepest Blue, The Divine Comedy, Atomic Kitten, Rick Astley, 10CC, Corinne Bailey Rae and Rooster, as well as a number of contemporary jazz artists such as Ronny Jordan and Marc Antoine. He’s also run one of the most successful weekly jazz gigs in London for over 20 years.
