Ben‌ ‌Beetham‌

Songwriting

Ben Beetham studied Songwriting at BIMM Music Institute London and has seen success with his band Kid Kapichi.

The band’s debut single – released in 2019 and aptly named “2019” – caught attention for its unforgiving approach in tackling tough subjects. Kid Kapichi speak on topics that affect the ‘voiceless’ generation currently going through a treacherous period of social and political turmoil.

Their next two singles “Glitterati” and “Death Dips” received support from a host of DJs including Jack Saunders, Annie Mac, Steve Lamacq, Huw Stephens, Phil Taggart and Tom Robinson. “Glitterati” was selected as BBC Radio 1’s ‘Hottest Record in the World’ while “Death Dips” featured on the BBC Radio 1 playlist.

Kid Kapichi’s success continued as they toured with Punk royalty. This included Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, FIDLAR and Slaves. After releasing their Sugar Tax EP, the band performed at Reading & Leeds Festival and performed sold-out headline shows in London and Brighton.

2021 saw their debut album This Time Next Year enter the UK Top 40 Albums Charts at Number 28.

We’re super excited to see what comes next from Ben and Kid Kapichi.
