BIMM work experience programme

Getting you ready for the world of work

Every student at BIMM has the option to choose a placement module called Working in the Creative Industries as part of your course. Whatever your chosen path, our Careers Team will help you to explore, research and secure a placement or develop your own entrepreneurial project.

We are connected to over 400 employers. Over the last three years, our students have secured work experience placements with the likes of Sony Music, Universal, Warner Music, CAA, DIY Magazine, The Great Escape Festival, LD Publicity, Teenage Cancer Trust, AIM, Big Life Management, The Quietus, Believe Digital, United Talent Agency, Cooking Vinyl, Music Venues Trust, International Live Music Conference, Good Soldier Songs, Cherry Red and Chuff Media.

Careers Camp

With the right work experience on your CV, you may be invited to a ‘Careers Camp’. Here, we help 3rd year and recent alumni with their employability skills and experience by giving them the experience of an industry recruitment process, using an assessment centre format for the day. Careers Camps are presented in partnership with BIY People & Talent and key partners including Warner Music, CAA and Kobalt.

“The opportunities I’ve received through BIMM Music Institute are incredible. The connections here are insane...I’ve gained experience with companies such as Ground Control, The Warehouse Project, GoTo Live and have worked on festivals such as Liverpool Sound City, Lost Village and Tramlines since starting here in First Year.”
