Like any great band, Black Honey have the full package – Great songs, killer hooks, bags of attitude, tonnes of style and an uncanny knack for making it all look seemingly effortless. To add to the hype, the debut album topped the official UK cassette chart in its first week of release; an appropriate accolade to suit the groups’ retro aesthetic.
Fronted by the enigmatic guitarist/singer Izzy Bee Phillips, the band have honed their sound through good old-fashioned hard-graft for the best part of 5 years, touring throughout the UK and backing up numerous festival appearances with a series of positively received single releases. Summer 2018 even saw the band sharing a bill with U.S rockers Queens Of The Stone Age at BST Festival in Hyde Park.
Completed by Tommy Taylor (Bass) Chris Olstler (Guitar) and Tom Dewhurst (Drums), Black Honey have been steadily building a buzz throughout the industry for all the right reasons. We’re thrilled to see the band entering the mainstream charts with their debut LP and wish them every success for the future.
