Everything from Blues to Jungle Pop and Surf Rock to Shoegaze is represented, with some Funk, Pop and Folk in between. BIMM acts taking to the stages of some of the best music venues in the city include AE Mak, Bicurious, Josh Gray, LAOISE, Leila Jane, Maria Kelly, Thumper, Tadgh, Wastefellow and Xo Mo.
The live showcases will take place on Friday the 28th and Saturday the 29th of September in The Workman’s Club, The Grand Social, Yamamori Tengu, Tramline and Doyle’s. The music industry conferences will take place across the weekend from Thursday the 27th to Saturday the 29th of September at The Chocolate Factory.
On Saturday there will be a keynote interview with Ann Marie Shields, Head of Events, Careers and Industry, and Industry Liaison at BIMM Dublin.
“It’s an honour to be asked to be a keynote speaker.” Said Ann Marie.
“Angela Dorgan and her team at Hard Working Class Heroes have had a huge impact on the Irish music scene by creating a high quality event that attracts the international music industry to Ireland. Not only does the event put a spotlight on new artists, but it provides an important foundation of support for Irish talent. HWCH provides new artists with access to a wide network of experts and I’m very happy to provide whatever insight and inspiration I can based on my own experiences in the international industry. There are very talented artists emerging from BIMM Dublin and we’re proud that so many of our student and graduates are performing at the festival.”
