The Washington D.C.-based metal band Periphery have built an enormous following all over the world; and all their fans love their melodic, heavy, triple-guitar-fronted metal sound.
Adam Getgood studied at BIMM Bristol, and has truly grasped the opportunity to use everything he learned there with the enormous metal band. Because not only is Adam Periphery’s bassist, but he also produced their new dual albums, ‘Juggernaut: Alpha’ and ‘Juggernaut: Omega’.
The two albums were released in January to fantastic reviews. Periphery fans are truly fortunate: not only do they get two LPs at once from their favourite band, but an accompanying DVD too – documenting behind-the-scenes insight of the recording process.
Adam spoke to heavy rock bible Kerrang! about the double album, and told them what an enjoyable, unique experience it was: “The creation of Juggernaut was a long and involved process for all of us, so having a crew on hand to document it was a real pleasure. It’s amazing to be able to look back on the way things went down, and I think listeners will really enjoy seeing behind the scenes of the recording.
Right now, they’re doing the hard work and putting in the miles, travelling from coast to coast across the USA on an enormous tour, playing major city after major city.
And in March, Periphery are undertaking a huge European tour along with Devin Townsend Project and Shining, and they’re playing all over the continent, taking Paris, Glasgow, Vienna and Helsinki en route.
Their London UK show has already sold out, which just goes to show that all of Adam’s hard work, talent and commitment is paying off. Everyone at BIMM is hugely proud of what he’s achieved — best of luck with the tours, Adam!
