BIMM Music Institute Dublin Launches new Masters Degree

BIMM Music Institute Dublin is delighted to announce the addition of a new and innovative Masters Degree to its already varied range of courses. This brand new study option will be available at our Dublin campus from September 2020 onwards and will be the highest level of qualification available at the college, offering BA (Hons) Degree graduates the opportunity to take their education to the next level.

Our new MA In Popular Music Practice (MA PMP)

This brand-new full-time only course, which is fully accredited by BIMM Music Institute, is innovative in its design and offers four named specialist pathways: entrepreneurship, performance, production and composition, making it suitable for candidates specialising in a wide range of fields.

This means that whatever direction you want to take your career in music – whether it’s into education, research, performance or another area of the creative industries – our postgraduate degree will allow you the freedom and the opportunity to pursue a specific area of interest such as:

• Popular Musicology
• Performance and Composition as Research
• Music Industry and Entrepreneurship Research
• Research in the Application of Technologies to Practice

What can you expect from the course?

Your contact time will be split between 1-2-1s with a specialist from your field, lectures and seminars where you study alongside students from different disciplines, and workshops with students from your own field. You will also be encouraged to collaborate with both your peers at BIMM Music Institute and external stakeholders.
