It’s been a fantastic start to 2015 for BIMM Manchester Drums student Chris Holleran.
Drummer Chris, who’s a second year student on the BA (Hons) course, can’t wait for them to jet into the Spanish capital to play the show, saying: “It’s so exciting to be asked to play in such a beautiful city!”
The festival, in the heart of Madrids’ cool Trafalgar district, won’t be the band’s first foray into the foreign festival scene: last September they flew over to Germany for Pop Fest Berlin, where they played alongside some 1980s indie legends, including The Flatmates and The Popguns.
The hard-working jangle-pop band, who hail from Ashton, comprise of BIMM’s Chris on drums, Flynn on vocals and guitar, Matthew on guitar and Joseph on Bass.
They’ve hit another landmark already this year, celebrating the release of their brand new EP at the Band On The Wall event, which boasted a cluster of other up-and-coming local bands as support.
Look a Los Heroes’ EP, ’Neath the Moon’, has gone down a treat with the band’s burgeoning fanbase, and the gig to launch it was an incredibly special one, says Chris:
“We were looking forward to this night for many reasons. Mainly because Manchester’s the greatest city in the world (in my opinion!) — but also because Band on the Wall is such a beautiful venue, with amazing sound and a big history of great bands playing there.”
Everyone at BIMM Manchester is really pleased for Chris and his bandmates: all the best for the rest of 2015, Loor a Los Heroes!
