Grian Chatten’s ‘Chaos For The Fly’ reaches UK top 10

14 July, 2023

Fontaines D.C. frontman Grian Chatten’s solo album ‘Chaos For The Fly’ landed in the UK Official Album Charts at a very respectable No.10.

The album was recorded in two weeks, during a rare moment of respite from Grian’s relentless touring schedule with Fontaines D.C. Co-produced by the band’s long-standing producer Dan Carey, the album occupies a different sound and feeling from his usual songwriting, but with the same honesty and tradition.

It’s been quite the ride for Grian and Fontaines D.C. over the past few years with a No.1 album, an Ivor Novello nomination, a Grammy nomination, a Mercury Music Prize nomination and a BRIT award, all whilst completing countless tours all over the world.

Alan Cullivan, BIMM Dublin’s principal, added:

“On behalf of the team at BIMM Music Institute Dublin, I’d like to extend our congratulations and best wishes to Grian on the success of his solo album. Watching the journey of both the Fontaines D.C., and Grian is an immense privilege. To witness the development in creativity and performance over time is a constant source of inspiration to all here, particularly new artists. I wish Grian only good things as he continues to explore his artistry and create wonderfully interesting work.”
