Black Honey are a four-piece indie rock band that formed at BIMM Music Institute Brighton. The band comprises lead singer and guitarist Izzy Baxter Phillips, guitarist Chris Ostler, bassist Tommy Taylor, and drummer Alex Woodward.

Black Honey have embarked on several UK tours, including support slots for Catfish and the Bottlemen, Royal Blood, and their own UK headline tour. Their self-titled debut album, Black Honey, entered the UK top 40 in the first week of its release, as well as seeing the group front the cover of NME magazine. With their sophomore album Written and Directed, the band stormed the charts and secured the no.7 spot in the UK Official Albums Chart. Not only that, but they also secured the no.1 spot in the Independent Artists chart; a significant accolade for any independent band.

NME and DIY Magazine gave Written and Directed 4/5 stars. The album has received widespread praise for its unapologetic and often cinematic sound. Izzy B Phillips puts her voice to good use, mixing empowering anthems and attitude-filled themes, often aiming to tear down the patriarchy and more.
