Tom Odell

Artist

In 2014, Tom was nominated for two BRIT Awards for ‘British Breakthrough Act’ and ‘British Male Solo Artist’, and was named ‘Songwriter of the Year’ at the Ivor Novello Awards.

Former BIMM Brighton student, Tom Odell, worked closely with Head of Vocals, Kate Cameron, and Head of Songwriting, Ian Sillett, before his departure in 2010, and his career has been going from strength to strength ever since.

Tom was discovered by a friend of Lily Allen, signed to Columbia Records, and began performing at a whole host of major UK festivals over the summer of 2012, including Glastonbury. The following year, Tom was announced as one of fifteen nominees for the BBC Sound of 2013 poll, he became the first male to win the Critic’s Choice Award at The Brits, and his debut album ‘Long Way Down’ was released, reaching No. 1 in the UK Charts. In 2014, Tom was nominated for two BRIT Awards for ‘British Breakthrough Act’ and ‘British Male Solo Artist’, and was named ‘Songwriter of the Year’ at the Ivor Novello Awards.

His fourth studio album, Monsters, is set for release in 2021. We’re really excited for Tom and we have loved seeing him rise to success over the years.
