Briana Corrigan

As a former member of The Beautiful South, Briana delivered their most successful single, the UK Chart topping No. 1, Brit Award-winning, A Little Time. Her vocal has been described as “One of the most distinctive voices in pop” (Time Out). Her time with the Beautiful South culminated in the release of the 5x platinum UK no.1 album, Carry on Up the Charts, one of the fastest-selling in UK Chart history. Briana has toured the world appearing regularly on media, from The Tube, Top of The Pops to Jay Leno.

Her own compositions have been released on East West Records and on her own label, Redbird & Anchor to much critical acclaim. She has collaborated with a broad spectrum of fellow artists such as Bonnie Prince Billie and Joe McAlinden ( BMX Bandits) and co-written and recorded for the popular Buddha Bar albums. Corrigan also teamed up with Dave Couse, (A House) their tracks appeared on Couse’s Genes, 2003, The World Should Know, 2006 and Corrigan’s Redbird 2012.

A spell abroad saw Briana discover her passion for teaching, winning the post of Head of Rock and Pop at the renowned British School Al Khubairat in the Middle East. Corrigan also established a successful training company, The Creative Train with her unique Storytelling-for-Business program delivered globally for various multinational companies. Briana holds a BA (Hons) degree in Creative and Performing Arts from Northumbria University and an MA (DIST) in Creative Writing from Queens University, Belfast. She is a published playwright and poet and has various credits on stage, film and TV as an actor. Briana recently joined the team at BIMM Music Institute Dublin where she is lecturing in songwriting and vocals.
