Julie Shanley

Theory Tutor

Julie Shanley is singer, pianist, choral director and music teacher. She graduated with a BA in Music from Trinity College Dublin, as well as undertaking practical studies in DIT Conservatory of Music and the Kodály Institute of Education in Hungary.

Her performance experience includes choral work with Elbow, Celtic Woman and the contemporary music ensemble Tonnta. She composes and arranges choral works, collaborating with a number of independent artists, most recently with the artists Elaine Mai and MayKay for their song “What Will You Say?”. She is the director of several vocal ensembles, including Playlist Choir, Frascati Singers and the vibrant and enthusiastic Supertones Children’s Choir. Most recently Julie was involved as a performer, singer, pianist and music collaborator in the critically acclaimed Fringe Festival show “Nine Weeks” - written and performed by her long-time friend and performing partner Sean Kennedy.
