The multi-talented musician (who plays bass and piano) and who also writes and produces, has worked with artists such as Ella Henderson, Ray BLK and Samm Henshaw – for whom Jordan has been Music Director for, over the last five years and toured around the world.
Jordan’s inspiration for creating music is looking for simplicity and space and ‘trying not to fill it too much by overproducing or playing’. One of his arrangements was even used by Greg Phillinganes; Michael Jackson’s former music director!
“My biggest highlight so far was hearing Greg Phillinganes play my arrangement for a show that was musically supervised by Quincy Jones! This was a moment because I got to sit in the rehearsal and learn so much! And If you know me, you’d know I’m a huge Quincy and MJ fan!”
Jordan, who is currently writing and producing, has found networking invaluable throughout his career and believes this along with having a passion for the ever-changing industry is a must for other young musicians too.
“Keep learning, stay hungry and most importantly be humble,” he advises, “Network as much as possible, keep up with what’s going on in the industry as it’s always moving and evolving. And be ready!”
