Jordan Bikila

Artist

BIMM London Music Production student, Jordan Bikilia’s musical journey started at the church he still attends and which inspires his soulful, R&B sounds.

The multi-instrumentalist writes and produces, has worked with artists such as Ella Henderson and Ray BLK. He has also been the Music Director for Samm Henshaw over the last five years, touring around the world with him.

Jordan, who is currently writing and producing, has found networking invaluable throughout his career and believes this and having a passion for the ever-changing industry is a must for other young musicians. He’s now working with Aaron Gonzales, Young Soul, and fellow BIMM alumni Gaetan Judd.

Jordan’s inspiration for creating music is looking for simplicity and space and ‘trying not to fill it too much by overproducing or playing’.

“My biggest highlight so far was hearing Greg Phillinganes play my arrangement for a show that Quincy Jones musically supervised! This was a moment because I got to sit in the rehearsal and learn so much! And If you know me, you’d know I’m a huge Quincy fan!”

“Keep learning, stay hungry and most importantly, be humble,” he advises, “Network as much as possible, keep up with what’s going on in the industry as it’s always moving and evolving. And be ready!”
