Fickle Friends

Artist

Fickle Friends made an almost seamless transition from ‘promising Brighton band’ to ‘hotly-tipped up-and-comers’ once they finished their studies at BIMM Brighton.

2014 saw a series of word-of-mouth praise and high-profile achievements notched up by Natti, Sam, Harry, Chris and Jack, and 2015 looks to be a real breakthrough year for the new wave pop band.

After getting constant attention from the UK’s grass-roots music blogging community, Radio 1’s Zane Lowe picked up on their soaring, anthemic pop and chose their song ‘For You’ as his Next Hype track of the week.

The broad coverage of Fickle Friends meant that curious crowds turned up to see them at their festival shows and at their showcase slots at The Great Escape and Berlin Music Week.

Couple these successes with UK and German tours, loads of buzz on the Hype Machine and US Music Trade bible Billboard, support slots for the Ting Tings, Laurel and Mausi and spending time recording in Abbey Road studios, and you’ve got one incredibly successful BIMM Brighton band.

We hope that Fickle Friends will release a follow-up album this year, following the success of their 2021 EP, Weird Years: Season One. We’re really excited for Fickle Friends and hope their success continues.
