David Ayers
Lecturer
David teaches Guitar at BIMM Music Institute Dublin, where he draws upon over 30 years professional experience in the US, UK and Ireland as an accomplished guitarist, producer and composer.
David moved to London and began recording and touring with a diverse range of artists such as Heather Nova, Youth, Beth Orton, Mercury Rev and Tom Jones.
In 1994 he co-founded the acclaimed Acid Jazz/Trip Hop group Red Snapper. The group has released 9 albums on the WARP and Lo labels. This led to a collaboration with Felix Tod and Creation Records’ Alan McGee to form Creation Studios where David was in house Producer.
During this time David developed a parallel career as a media composer, scoring numerous BBC natural history series and Channel 4 documentaries as well as a catalog of over 600- published works.
